Just incase anyone isn't aware of how this is supposed to be handled, I'll go over it now:

Step 1) Meet/Greet the person interested.
Step 2) Game with them, test their skills/character*.
Step 3) If you have a good vibe about them, invite them to create a BNU- account.
Step 4) Game with them on their BNU- account, and make sure your initial vibe detection was correct.
Step 5) go (EXAMPLE)  ~recruit BNU-Master Master
This step creates the user account "Master" on the bot, and adds the bnet account "BNU-Master" to the "Master" account on the bot. This also sets them at rank 10.

From rank 10, they can move onto rank 11 within a day. Encourage that they play a few more games, or gain a few more levels.

Rank 11 requires something like 3 wins(SC/W2), or 5 levels (D2), or 1 WC3 Level.

Its really quite simple. :)

So get out there, and recruit. :) If you don't have access to add a recruit, talk to a leader, currently the people that will likely be able to help you are:

BNU-Camel
BNU-Sorceress
BNU-Master

They have access to set ranks for things, and will be more than happy to help you get your first recruit.

I'm not sure if Camel implemented "Recruit Score" yet, but the bot will keep track of your recruit's progress and you'll be scored for that also.

it should be level 2 for wc3 lol. you get a level for losing your first games.

that is true, but its also much easier to get 3 comp stomp wins on sc than it is to get a level on wc3. and since thats only to rank 11, i wouldn't really worry about.

yeah i know. you can get like a bunch of compstomp games in sc in a short amount of time. if we see that we should warn them to stop.

well no, not necessarily. If that's what they enjoy playing, we should let them. Since they cant get a win without another real person in the game, they must be gaming with someone. As long as they're active in the channel and gaming. I do think we should try to convince them to play some 1v1 or 2v2 with real people, but i dont think it should be required.

I haven't, but it's in the plans.

I also have an idea of how I'm going to do recruitment throttling, but I probably won't do it until we get the next Banner, trying to recruit 50 people every day.

Yes, I was talking about BNU-Banner. He recruited anything that moved - he was the reason we added the BNU- filter and the win/level filter and recruitment throttling.

Ah yes, good point. The bot used to automatically send botmail to recruits when they recieved autopromotions - the mails included info about joining the forums, and at rank 15, about recruiting. That's something Ill probably bring back fairly soon.
