Are you for or against this? Personally I feel that the industry shouldn't be bailed out. Foreign car makers have moved into the U.S., making cars cheaper, more economical, safer, and using more US Labor than most of the "American" based companies.  If anything they should be force to sell their factories to foreign car makers to use. Just my two cents.

Against it. The government intentionally caused the car companies to lend money to people who they knew could never pay it off. The government did this so that in the long run it would have to pay it off and they would control the industry. Its a set-up by the government to control yet another aspect of our lives.

I'm completely torn; it is anti-darwinistic, and it is also the correct thing to do in our current economic state. It's probably best to go ahead with the bailout, but it should not be a precedent.
