Moving to a new server
« on: June 05, 2009, 11:26:10 PM »
I've been saying I'm going to do this for over a year; the server we're on just can't handle even a modest amount of bot-induced load, which is why it's dropping all the time. With the recent increase in activity, it's clear that the current setup is impractical, so I'll be moving everything back to my personal server. There will be some downtime associated with the move, but I can't give an exact timeframe.
It's like saying, "Hello, my name is Camel and I don't know what I'm talking about."

Please ensure that I still have FTP access. I fully intend to re-fit the website soon. I've gotten a lot more comfortable with SMF, and feel that I could encase the forums into the website.

I've temporarily moved the bot to a different machine. For the time being, the website can not access the log files in real time, so the webbot will be down.
