Warden FAQ

Uh-oh! If you're reading this, you are probably suffering from Warden syndrome. Because Battle.net servers do not act as host for games in Starcraft and Warcraft 3, Blizzard created a new way of delivering Warden via the "chatroom" connection (BNCS, to be precise).

But do not fear! If you are using Windows (or you have a friend that does), you can simply follow these directions:

  • Go to http://www.stealthbot.net/board/index.php?showtopic=40813 and download the proxy. You do not need to select a dotted-decimal battle.net server as the instructions on that site say.
  • Run the proxy. A window will pop up; you can minimize it to put it in your system tray
  • In BNU-Bot, go to File>Settings>Proxy
  • Check Enabled
  • Click OK

You will need to reconnect to battle.net for the settings to take effect.

If your friend is running the program for you, change the SOCKS server from 'localhost' to your friend's IP address. Your friend's IP address will be what Battle.net uses towards your 8 connection limit. And no, you can't have different profiles using different proxies; it's not a flood bot.

It's like saying, "Hello, my name is Camel and I don't know what I'm talking about."
